Contact your Senators. Tell them to oppose the Vitter-Bennett Amendment that makes funding the 2010 Census contingent upon the Census Bureau including a question regarding U.S. citizenship on the short-form census questionnaire.
October 13, 2009: Cook County - Veto Override
Contact your State Representative. Tell him to support the amendment of the Counties Code and provide that the Cook County Board of Commissioners may override a veto by the County Board President by an affirmative vote of 3/5 of its members (instead of the present 4/5).

Call the CHANGE Illinois! Hotline, 1-800-719-3020, and tell your State Senator and State Representative that campaign contribution limits must include contributions from legislative leaders and political parties.
