Possible speakers and contacts working on the current legislation: |
- Our own state League website for position information.
- Ralph Martire, Center for Tax and Budget Accountability: Ralph can be hard to
schedule but can speak in-depth about the challenges facing Illinois and about
SB 2288 and HB 750 as possible solutions.
- A+ Illinois has field representatives who cover most of Illinois, who have
been available to work with local Leagues. The LWVIL is a supporting organization
of A+ Illinois, whose principles mirror the League’s own. www.aplusillinois.org
- Your local IEA representatives may be willing to work with you. www.ieanea.org
- Chris Slowik, a League member and president of Better
Funding for Better Schools, may be able to suggest members
