2015 Issues Briefing
2015 Event Recap
LWVIL's annual Issues Briefing was held Saturday, March 7th at University Center, Chicago. Over 125 members attended the day long conference.
Dedicated Issues Committee members spent months organizing an information-packed event. Speakers presented the latest on Illinois fiscal issues, school funding, immigration, mental illness, challenges to the Affordable Care Act, climate change, advocacy and human services.
Below is a sample of what was shared that day. What does not translate is the interaction between the speakers and Leaguers, and Leaguers with each other. This day is as much an experience of it what it means to be part of LWV as it is a fast-track way to get up to date on critical issues facing our State.
Check out what League has to share and consider joining us next time.
