Director | Voter Service

Matt Gorman has served on LWV of Illinois’ Board of Directors since September 2026. Matt joined the League of Women Voters of Champaign County in 2022, initially working with youth outreach leaders in local high schools to emphasize the importance of participating in the voting process. His focus was on engaging students who would reach voting age in upcoming elections. Additional responsibilities included serving on the state Election Protection teams and working as an election judge.

Originally from New York, Matt majored in Political Science at Canisius University in Buffalo, NY. Following graduation and the start of his career at Procter & Gamble, he built an executive history in consumer electronics with Canon, Toshiba, and Sharp.

He hopes to serve the Board with ideas that encourage registration to vote and advocacy of democratic principles that we have come to expect.
